As if we were still in time decided to try the practical test for “Green Beret”. The natural park of Torres del Paine has several long runs through the mountains with the most capricious forms. Target, five days to go in the route known as “The W” without relying on anyone. To do so we rented a tent, one gas infiernillo, mats, and buy adequate food for five days.
At this point I feel compelled to mention the shipping back to Navimag, We sponsored the breakfast thanks to the dozens of envelopes and jars of jam that took, butter, sugar packets, Coffee…
I copy the travel journal:
First Day: Planted in a camping store, camping on them is mandatory. Apart from a minimal bathrooms suitable only for emergencies, there is no other service. Let, it is a way to get us money. Walked eight hours but without the backpack. We slept in sackcloth and with all the clothes you wear at a time. For me two pairs of socks, tights, pants, three jerseys, Sweatshirt, sweater and jacket. Still cold jodidicos. Spectacular scenery.
Second day: backpacks weighing as leads. Much equipment and food we carry. We walk 5 hours. It should be gas rationing or not we come to the last day. Fantastic scenery. No more chocolate! The good thing is that you can drink cool water and rich of any of the streams we crossed.
Third Day: We walk 4 hours. They deplete bread. The situation is tense. We decided to buy a loaf of bread camping for EIGHT EUROS AND A HALF !!! For the seafood or ask. We slept outside permitted area. Provisions becoming scarce. 40 hours without showering.
Fourth Day: We headed to the glacier Peloé. We have very little food. I say nothing, but these two start to smell.
Fifth Day: Wind is awesome, I think it's able to get up. It breaks our tent, well as many other. We 35 people sleeping in the tent ranger. We do not have room for all, have to climb over each other. So, the wrong way, canned sardines in which, spent the night with a tremendous gales outside.
The next day, exhausted we returned to Puerto Natales. In the last four days we could only shower once, and we were just bits and pieces to eat. Never my levels of tolerance for discomfort and dirt were so low!
Once in Puerto Natales hostel, I stuck flip 28 hours without leaving the hostel. Good to have a bed! And eating a plate and a glass or pan!
But definitely worth the experience. And the Torres del Paine park, even a sacaperras, is incredibly beautiful.

But how can you think to go there in jeans? Haha. Piece of landscape. Loved. The hardships are offset by having lived a unique experience. In no time you'll forget you had it bad at times and you'll be with the beautiful landscape and the pride of the adventure lived.
A post waiting for more travelers!
